A Pagan is someone who worships the ancient (pre-Christian) Gods.


Originally 'Pagan' applied to those who worshipped the Gods of the pagus, (latin for 'localility').
Christians used the word to describe a 'country-dweller'. Pagan is sometimes used to mean not-Christian.
