I have a genuine interest in computers and am committed to a career in this field. I consider myself to be a good team member whilst also being highly self-motivated, on my home computer I enjoy writing small programs in C++ and trouble-shooting. I enjoy a challenge and am looking for a post which will enable me to further develop my programming abilities in a work environment and to gain a wider experience.

Final Year Project
A Comparison between Perl and Python in a cgi environment
This involved the creation of two websites, one running Perl scripts, the other running
Python scripts. The aim of the project was to see if Perl had a likely rival.

Industry Placement
Placement in the Anaesthesia Department, Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield
As the only programmer in the team, my role was to respond to the computing needs
of the department. This included designing an intranet site using Microsoft Web classes
and Flash, creating database interfaces using VB and SQL Server, and further
developing unfinished programs created by the previous post holder.
